Ron and Sarah’s New York exhibition experience!

Another 15 minutes goes by and finally the conveyor starts to move again. By this time there are about 10 people all crowded around this tiny little luggage passageway waiting and wanting some results. Then…there it is. A Bag! Wait a minute…it seems to be stuck in the little doorway. Then another bag piles into it and another and within seconds there is a mini huge pile of luggage jamming the doorway and the conveyor is still moving. Being at the end of their patience 2 men quickly jumped onto the conveyor and started tugging with massive strength on this one piece of crap luggage that they considered was jamming up the entire airport.
Tug…Yank…Pull!!! POP!
As if everyone’s prayers were answered at the same time out came this one piece of luggage that was causing all the issues. Sure enough, it was our green garment bag and the hanging hook had come loose and was stuck in the edge of the conveyor. Did these gentlemen place our garment bag back onto the conveyor? No Way! They tossed it aside to ensure it would cause no more issues.
So, being and looking like the tourist I was I slowly walked over to the massive crowd still standing by the little doorway, grabbed my damaged and ugly as crap to everyone garment bag, and made my way back to Sarah and towards the exit.
Did we get any nasty looks? Not sure. We chose not to notice. “I Love New York!!”
Once outside and into the 15° weather we decided to take a Super Shuttle (Blue Van) into the city. Only $20 so we thought quite a deal. Lot’s cheaper than a taxi.
We traveled through Queens to drop off a couple people at the train station and then moved on to the city. Entering NYC on the 59th Street Bridge was awesome. The massive Hudson River was beneath us and the architecture just seemed to move along its shore forever. Of course the camera is locked in the back of the van so no photos unfortunately.
We booked our stay at the artist famous Carlton Arms Hotel on 25th and 3rd.
We found this ‘special’ hotel on the Agora Gallery website and for $110 a night for 2 people it was a really good deal for sure. The reason the Carlton is Artist Famous is because a different artist paints each of its 54 rooms.
They allowed us to tour a variety of rooms on 3 floors to make a choice on our stay. Below are some room examples while we searched for the perfect Ron and Sarah bungalow.
