My life started in 1968 with my birth in Santa Barbara California to parents that I have never known. I was adopted within 2 weeks and spent my first 11 years in Ventura, California. My adoptive parents then divorced and I spent the rest of my creative days with my mother and sister in the Pacific Northwest with trips to Southern California 2-3 times a year to visit my father.
Although I’ve never known my birth mother and father, I realize that it’s their DNA line that is the essence to the creation and definitions within my work. I was raised with the values and teachings of my adoptive parents, but it’s my mind’s thoughts that are original to the core of my relationship with my birth mother and father. This relationship of my mind through being raised by my adoptive parents and also a DNA connection with birth parents that I’ve never known is what I define as my Source.
I’ve always shared a link with ADHD and yet it wasn’t until the mid 90’s that I really learned to connect with my condition. It turns out that the best therapy I found was in 1997 when I created my first detailed pen and ink drawing. Since I can remember as a child I have sketched and experimented with all kinds of art, but it was this first pen and ink original that sparked an archive within. I’ve created over 35 originals since '97 and have been adding more color in my most recent work.
Inspirations in my day-to-day life and studies of many different realities have defined the images I create from my Source. My thoughts are brought to reality utilizing pen and ink with the influence of the artistic genius of M.C. Escher. To focus these thoughts into actual images on paper and illustration board, I define them by interpreting the details of mathematical equations taken from the Fibonacci numbering system. Dr. Wayne Dyer describes and teaches about Source. I enigmatically draw my connections to it.
