Fibonacci Numbering System

is named the Fibonacci sequence.
Fibonacci, also known as Leonardo of Pisa, was born in Pisa, home of the famous leaning tower (inclined at an angle of 16.5 degrees to the vertical). Little is known of his life, and no portrait exists. However there is a statue of Fibonacci that was erected by the citizens of Pisa.”

To me this numbering system has an incredible and vast amount of information and possibilities. On the next few pages are some paragraphs describing the basic principles used in defining and implementing the Fibonacci Numbering system. I listed 2 similar descriptions that I have found on the internet yet they define this numbering system a little differently. I’ve also included my personal references to Eschers work that greatly influence my path of creativity. Then I finished with a story about my daughter Ashley that defines how I relate my thoughts to Mean.

THE FIBONACCI SPIRAL

 

“The Fibonacci Spiral is an outward growing spiral whose growth is regulated by a series of numbers that's known as the "Fibonacci Number Sequence". This important series of numbers is created by adding the last two numbers together in order to create the next...as in, 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, & so forth. It's an attempt to replicate a spiral of divine proportions that has neither a beginning nor an end, that's commonly known as the "Golden Mean Ratio" (or phi ratio, 1.6180339). This unique spiral illustrates for us the perfect harmony and proportion of nature's natural growth pattern. But whilst It's quite difficult to get our heads round something that has no beginning, we find we can get quite close to this divine spiral by employing the Fibonacci analogue sequence, that offers very little difference between the two.

In spiritual terms, the ever-outward growing shape of the Fibonacci Spiral perfectly traces the path we should all be journeying upon. From its inner centre at "0", which equates to us in our present physical form, here we have an ever-expanding pathway of enlightenment that symbolizes our spiritual growth as we head out slowly towards the "Love Supreme".

Within its boxed partitions, the above diagram of the Fibonacci Spiral also sets out to illustrate dimensions, and in particular, the greater "all seeing" sixth dimension. Through its special sequence of numbers it spirals out from the inner first, second and third, of the so-called smaller dimensions, until it eventually widens out to encompass the greater planes. Though we can easily see two-dimensional objects from a third dimensional perspective, we simply can't view things in 4D, unless of course we just happen to live there! But those entities that reside in the fourth are able to see us... even the fifth-dimensional forms in turn possess the ability to see into the fourth, as well as the third etc. Having said that it should now go without saying, that the guys on the sixth floor are occupying the greater of all previous planes, so that they're able to view everything in an "all seeing" manner. Interestingly, the mythical son of Isis and Osiris, namely Horus, the ancient Egyptian God and guardian of the Earth allegedly resides in "the sixth" (divide by 2 and you have my ‘mean number’ which is 3). Housed within this plane, he's "all seeing and all knowing" and this symbolic thought is perfectly enshrined within the age-old "All Seeing Eye of Horus" glyph, in which a Fibonacci Spiral is beautifully expressed.

The Fibonacci Spiral is a sacred form that's found in nature on a countless number of occasions. We find it in animal horns, seashells, and in many plants and flowers etc. During July of the 2002 season a magnificent Nautilus Conch Shell design appeared just below the Pewsey White Horse in Wiltshire. Unmistakably seen within a formation that was noted for its stunning precision, this was a superb and almost textbook example of the "Golden Mean Ratio". The design is displayed in the image below.

To me the essence of Genius is as the mind out performs reality these thoughts need to be realized almost immediately and then applied to the next set of thoughts. An example of this theory is below.

It was just before bedtime one night and my 5-year old daughter Ashley was listening to me talk to my wife Sarah. The subject of our conversation happened to be referring to an evening snack. So as to not get Ashley all excited about something that I had no intention of sharing because it was her bedtime, in a sentence I spelled out to Sarah the word POPCORN.

Ashley immediately responded by excitedly saying, “We had that…what you said, at school today.” Sarah then asked Ashley, “What was it that daddy said?” Ashley thought for a moment, and then shrugged her shoulders.

We again asked her to say the word that I had spelled out. She couldn’t, no matter how hard she was trying. It so happens that in her kindergarten class that morning, it was Popcorn day for snack.

At 5 years old, and not reading yet, Ashley had listened to me spell out the word Popcorn. I figure that maybe in her mind she pictured the letters, placed them together as I recited them aloud, and then interpreted the information and then identified the word. She maybe recognized the look of the letters in that specific order. She could have also imagined saying the words or at least understanding the sound of the letters all put together. But if she understood the information from the sounds, then I would think that she would have been able to actually speak the answer to the question of what we were actually talking about.

I would imagine that the look of the word and the relationship to its actual existence as popcorn would have been harder to interpret. She obviously knew exactly what I was talking about but at the same time had no idea what I was talking about. So does this mean that she could read months before she could spell?

Her mind is out performing her reality meaning that her thoughts are connected quicker than what she is consciously learning from looking at books and words. If she had made the full connection in this instance and actually said the word Popcorn, then that would have been another closer step to reading on her own.

This thought process could also be a leader to Prodigy.

Ashley’s mind races like my own, I’ve just tried over and over for most of my life to train my mind to slow down to the pace of my reality.

Mean is everywhere. At times it’s a subconscious connection with something learned but not realized. Once the connection is realized then there is the wanted movement in Mean. The key is to try and realize when that connection takes place then the application can begin.
