ARTIST'S DESCRIPTION OF PIECE (Continued)
Above are the last images that I added to the handle. There are again multiple links defining the significance and these links are directly related to the passengers. There are 2 images, representing this image being the 2 nd Chapter of the Trilogy. The spheres relate to the “Lets Roll” spheres at the very beginning of this piece. Again I used the flames, which are related to the flaming sun image described earlier and connects to the 44 passengers. I then used a new image as seen below.
|
This imagery turned out to be the main connection to another phase of this original drawing. Notice again the sequential use of 3 black dots. These dots are the direct connection to the passengers described in the flaming sun. I also dotted the imagery with a white spot as I did with a black dot in the letters of Lets Roll. The link to the defining image is shown below and will be explained in future paragraphs. |
|
Again there are 3 tips to the black vine-like image and it is also marked with the white dots. |
Realizing that through developing the beginning of the sword and defining the key number in most every sequence as 3, I decided to divide the image of “Born Again” into 3 segments. Using 3 I can best describe my subconscious references by linking my thoughts to the famous novel “Dante’s Inferno” by Dante Alighieri. I say subconsciously given the fact that my references to Dante’s Inferno were not revealed to me until a year after the original was completed. This novel is considered the Divine Comedy. MEAN is considered the Divine Numbering System. The connection became very clear to my subconscious so I expanded my many detailed thoughts in this direction and at the same time I really had no idea what direction I was moving. Welcome to MEAN. Welcome to Ron Jones.
Dante’s Inferno titles the Divine Comedy as Purgatory. The 3 segments that I used to divide “Born Again” are Heaven, Purgatory, and Hell with defined and detailed emphasis on the areas of Heaven and Purgatory.
The references to the sword described so far are images contained within the upper portion of this drawing, which is titled at the beginning as Heaven. As in many of my previous originals, the heavens are defined by utilizing subdued as well as shining stars. There are also planets within the heavens.
To connect the continuous path of this original I still needed to develop the 2 remaining aspects, Purgatory and Hell.
Shanksville, PA
Purgatory
To fully explain the aspects of the Purgatory description I will need to reference at times the connecting images within the Heavens portion of the drawing.
Since the upper portion of the sword contained so many references to the passengers I needed to truly identify the aircraft in this definition. As describe before I used the Air Force symbol to define the image of an aircraft. Well now I needed to solidify that definition. So within the Heavens portion I added Wings, but not just any wings.

“WWII AAC Senior Service Pilot Wings Sterling Silver 3”
The above image and its description were taken directly from the Internet. I had looked up a similar image at the time of this drawing to get a detailed reference at that time. This is the image I found 6 years later while writing this definition. These wings were listed on E-Bay. Notice that this medal is 3 inches in diameter. Coincidence? Not when I scrolled down the listing and saw that there where only 3 left for sale. Another link is that the medal had a sale price of $125.00. Relation to the MEAN sequence of 3 is defined as:
1 2 3 5
The connection is genuine…
By adding these wings to the sword image I wanted to produce a detailed description linking the sword to the aircraft. This aspect was needed to begin the process of my Purgatory definition. So I created a reality break between the Heavens representation and the entrance to Purgatory. Below is the continuous line of separation across the entire drawing and is indicated by the arrows.
 |
The image to the left is a blow up of this line of separation to demonstrate the connection to MEAN and again the sequence of 3. The numbers to the left of the image indicate the thicker black lines that pertain to MEAN. 3 being a single black line relating to the total thickness of the 1 and 2 added together. |
There is also a line in this separation that contains my black and white checkerboard pattern. This was added to relate my thoughts of the black Heavens background that was now changing to the white background of this realm of Purgatory.
This line of separation is described as a Reality break because it represents something very real to this event. I placed clues within this break to enhance the actual definition, which is the earth itself.
These images describe the name given to the area of earth where Flight 93 perished.

Below are the famous quotes by Abraham Lincoln during the Gettysburg Address, which he gave on this same soil on November 19th, 1863.

Now that I’ve defined the break as the ground where the plane crashed, I needed to interpret the sword as a penetrating entity into the soil where it went down. Below is how I defined that aspect. Using the arrows you notice the black line working it’s way around the sword to enhance this definition.

The driving of the aircraft into the ground is now defined. Of course the sword above the ground is totally in tact. But now that it has crashed into the ground it must take on a totally different look. Machine as well as lives are now shattered and broken. So I created the sword in this image of Purgatory to be broken, cracked and mangled as seen in the next image.
|
This broken sword representing the airplane crashing into the ground is the next stage in the event of Flight 93. It’s at this moment that every soul onboard the aircraft would be released to the spirit world. I described this moment using the image of a Serpent as I used as the Medical symbol in the previous Chapter titled “WHY”. |
|
| The crosses being released from the Serpents mouth represent the souls of those aboard the plane. The souls are black because this is Purgatory and their individual spiritual fate has yet to be decided. I defined the serpents as spiritual beings by placing 2 Halos on their horn. |
These souls are now floating aimlessly within this realm of Purgatory. If you follow their path you will find that they fly all over the place twisting and turning as if confused on what was next for them, yet they are all still in a single line following the leader thinking the other knew the correct path. At least one of the leading souls would be that of Todd Beamer…
So they travel as black indecisive souls around Purgatory until they finally find their way to salvation.
Each black cross is now entering a Portal design that attaches to a tube. This tube then winds around Purgatory before it attaches itself directly under the defining words of this entire event.
Shanksville Pennsylvania.
They pass through this specific soil because it’s the last memory of reality that they will ever have. The serpents pass through the soil defined as the quotes from the Gettysburg Address. This is because they are the warriors and the Saviors of the situation. Their warrior like qualities are defined in the next Chapter “Sense the Savior” as they deal with Osama and Saddam. |
|
In the image of the Portal I would like to point out some special attributes. Notice the tiny crosses inside the spheres. This is an indication that the path these souls are choosing is correct. You can also see 2 more Halos protecting the souls as they enter the vine-like passage. This links the Serpents to the Portal stating that both are entities of Holy Spirit.
So all of these souls have now made their way through Purgatory and are inside the passage working their way towards Heaven. Remember the black dots in Lets Roll and the white dots used to identify the passengers? This representation is used again in the image below, but there is a slight difference.
|
Notice the white dots in the image to the left, which represent the souls inside the passage. Most of them are inside the black line, safe and sequential. Then there are some that pop out of the black line and are outside the ‘mainstream’ of travel through the passageway. This is a defining link to Purgatory. This realm is neither Heaven nor Hell. It’s in between. So if this area is defined as being between saving or sentencing, then Lucifer would have some say in the decisions being made. |
| I placed the entity of Lucifer behind the sword as if he were hiding. To identify this image as that of Satan we need to refer back to Chapter #9 titled “Gatekeeper”. In this description I define the many issues of my life at the time and the hold that Satan had on my heart and mind. The image used in Chapter #9 is below. You will immediately see the similarities. The main difference is that now this entity has wings, which describes a more fierce presence because since Chapter #9 he has been promoted. |
|
|
Both images share the same number of arms and legs and antennae. There are also spheres attached to the appendages in both images.
By Lucifer being present in Purgatory he would try anything to get at these souls traveling towards salvation. I highlighted this effort by placing the occasional white dot outside its path but still protected within the vine-like passage. |
Now these souls of Flight 93 are on their way to salvation and the efforts of each one is about to pay off. They travel into Shanksville Pennsylvania soil and continue their journey to the connecting passageway through the Gettysburg quotes. Notice now that there are no white dots outside of the chosen path. Lucifer is left behind so he has no chance at a now Heavenly soul.
| The souls now emerge from the vine-like passage and into the heavens. Each heavenly soul is now totally white, which symbolizes the purification process from Purgatory to Heaven. The crosses are also in a defined line as if they know exactly where they are going. Then as they move off into the distance they get smaller and smaller until they are ultimately in His.
