ARTIST'S DESCRIPTION OF PIECE (Continued)
Now I need to explain one more aspect of the transition from the Heavenly world, into Purgatory, and then back to Heaven.
Notice in the following image that both serpents originate in the area of Heaven starting from the Guard attached to the handle of the sword.

I decided to add this because of the specific nature of this incident. These passengers were on an airplane. To be in a passenger jet airliner that is about to crash any minute I guarantee they are fully aware that death is inevitable. By this realization being noted before their death, their fate was decided prior to the plane ever hitting the ground. Thus I had the serpent carry them from the plane before it went down and then release them into the definition of Purgatory.
But there is still a link to certain souls in this image that the serpent did not save. It’s the essence to life.

Hell
By this point I was pretty upset about everything that had happened surrounding these events. In “WHY” I describe the story of my desire to rejoin the Air Force and the impact that it would have on my family as well as my own being. The war in Afghanistan started during the creation of “Born Again” and I was glued to the T.V. whenever possible. I was definitely not in a forgiving mood as the details of the terrorist plans came to light. So I gave the souls of the hijackers of Flight 93 what they deserved. My heart was at times cold…just as theirs.
| So much blood was shed during that whole day so I added the image of blood shed in the “Name of Allah”. I placed these drips in representation of each hijacker into the depths of Hell. As the other souls are rescued starting with the serpents at the guard of the sword I sent the souls of the terrorists through the broken plane and into an open door to a deep death. |

The door number is #21. The definition of this Chapter.
|
I created a door that would open to the depths of Hell. In the image to the left you can see the main larger devilish angel along with all the smaller followers below. I was so affected by this definition that this image is also the most significant change to my work as an artist. |
I now consider myself Born Again. “WHY” is the Chapter where I asked all my questions? “Born Again” is when I truly found my calling as a Christ follower. “Sense the Savior” is how I fell deeper into his love for me.
The significance of the above images is that the red is the first color I had ever added into any of my works. 5 years of creating and for the reasons described above I needed to add this color. I then broke out all my colors for “Sense the Savior” to complete my biography.
The red has a specific meaning to my existence as a Christ follower. I am a black ink artist. The most utilized book that I research for my work is the Holy Bible and it is written in black ink. But… when you come to the New Testament and read the words spoken by Christ the black changes color. What’s the color?
Red
From the Old Testament to the New. From the Old Ron’s life to the New. My work is now on an incredible journey. I am now saved and my connections to a past of negativity and despair are now accepted as the past. I will forever remember every aspect of my life possible. I don’t want to forget.
I just want to forgive.
