ARTIST'S DESCRIPTION OF PIECE
Because Of Satan Tend Our Needs (Continued)
The thorns gouge the areas where my eyes and my right hand would be if I were the one hanging on this cross. My artistic ability currently centers on these 2 attributes entirely. If my line of detailed ink work needs to end then these injuries could be the cause. The blood drips heavier from my right hand. This defines the higher level of pain felt in my hand during the creation of my images in comparison to my eyes. |

The Cross #4 is defined by the 4 bleeding wounds, one being on each arm of the cross. This cross is also the only one that has 3 healed wounds as seen here.

This healing defines the fact that no matter how seriously Satan injures our soul through Christ we will always be healed. I also represented this ‘breaking’ of Satan’s hold on us in the image to the right, which is just above the top left of Cross #4. |

I designed the significance of Cross #5 in a couple of ways. There are 5 of Satan’s vines wrapping up this cross, which define it as the 5th. There are also 3 thorns gouging the flesh of the cross.

The detailed definitions of these wounds are similar to the earlier descriptions of Cross #3 in relation to the body. The location of the wounds for Cross #5 are in the legs and the right shoulder. This cross is in memory of a co-worker of mine, Mario Obscena, who passed away from cancer during the production of this piece. His cancer started in his legs, passed through his upper body then was detected in his brain. |
You will notice that the thorns penetrating the legs are larger than the thorn gouging the shoulder. This is to signify how the leg cancer is more significant than the upper body since the disease first inflicted the damage in his legs.
Mario spent a few months on leave of absence for chemotherapy and recovery. He then came back to work because the cancer was thought to be in remission. A few months later he was on leave again and then a few weeks after this he passed away. He was so positive and bright in his battle with this disease. I felt as though he was robbed of his life in many aspects. First he was fine, then sick, then fine, then sick then he was gone. I was so upset by the chain of events in his battle so I illustrated this fact in this piece.
There is a twisting vine to the right of Mario in the piece and it has a thorn that is cutting into itself. You will also notice that passing through the ‘loop’ of the injured vine is the vine that is gouging Mario’s legs. Because of this close relationship with these 2 vines I punished one of them and referenced that fact by the self-gouging thorn. |

This is Cross #6, which is defined by a specific patterned bulb at the tip of a vine. It has six smaller vines growing from the bulb giving it the designation as Cross #6. |

For Cross #8 I actually placed a number eight inside the cross to show it’s significance. |
Now we finally come to Cross 9. To define it as #9 you will notice a looping vine to the lower left of the cross as seen below. |

Cross #9 |
There are 9 loops in this vine to define this cross as #9. This is also the only vine that splits into 2 separate vine tips to signify rebirth. The size of this cross is the smallest in relation to size of the other 8 crosses. This represents that it is the soul of a child. You will notice that the tips of the vines entangling this cross are being pulled in towards the image of God (Cross #10). The Word of God talks so much of his Children and their purity from sin as a child. Here is a verse that links to this aspect of God pulling stronger (greater) on their soul then the other 8 crosses. 1 John 4:4
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world”.
There is another specific detail linking this child’s soul to the heart of God. I’m sure you’ve noticed by now that in regards to the image of God (Cross #10) there are many vines stemming from behind the sphere in the back of the cross. Each vine is individually numbered which I will demonstrate below. Given the relationship of this piece to Mean it is the 3 rd vine that stretches out and grabs onto Cross #9 to begin pulling this child’s soul to safety. Here are the individual vine definitions. Some of these images have been rotated in this description for easier identification:


There are 70 vines along the border of this ink drawing. You may have noticed that some of them are marked with a small emblem. This symbol is called a Swastika. During the creation of this piece I watched for the first time the movie Schindlers List. My thoughts became linked with the significant history that this movie detailed and I related those thoughts into "BOSTON". Some examples and the definition of a Swastika are listed below:

Every other vine is marked and has a normal vine tip. This defines them as the followers of the higher ranks. I placed the emblem on these vines to signify that they may not have had a choice but to join the Nazi party as if being forced to take the Mark of the Beast. In relation to this analogy the 9 crosses entangled by the vines would represent the 9 million Jews that lived in Germany during the Nazi regime. Over 6 million are thought to have perished during the reign of the German Reich.
Every vine that is defined as a Higher Rank is entangling a cross at some point…except for One. It is pictured below:

This vine is the only ‘Higher Rank’ that doesn’t even come close to touching any of the 9 crosses. It is also significant as being the vine that is scribed with the scripture relating to this entire drawing.
I needed to identify a vine with a lone entity within this network of evil and deception. It’s a soul of peace and goodness that would not take part in this brutality and destruction.
By being given this title of goodness and grace this vine would be viewed by others as a Savior. I defined this aspect by using the vine tip that is wrapping around the upper portion of this Higher Ranked vine. This tip is from the vine that is gouging the legs of the soul of Mario. This vine wants to be forgiven for inflicting the pain and torture on the innocence of Mario’s soul. |

This piece took months to complete and sold very quickly. My research and definitions came before, during, and after the drawing was completed.
Mean is defined by utilizing the present, adding in the past, and then the result is the future. My heart was open enormously during the creation of "
BOSTON" and my thoughts were extremely deep. Link after link was coming to mind and some of the details were defined after the work was completed.
These linking results are directly related to the work of Dr. Wayne Dyer and especially to his book ‘The Power of Intention’. Below is the preface to this book. I placed keywords that relate to "BOSTON" in Italics. Here is what Dr. Dyer says:
“The book you are now holding in your hands, and all of the information it contains, was once a formless idea residing in the invisible domain of the fieldof intention. This book, The Power of Intention, was intended into the material world by applying all the principles written about here. I managed to make my own vibrational energy match up to the all-creating Source, and allowed these words and ideas to flow through me directly to you. You’re holding in your hands evidence that anything we can conceive of in our minds—while staying in harmony with the universal all-creating Source—can and must come to pass.
If you’d like to know how this book might impact you and how you might think, feel, and co-create after reading and applying its messages, I encourage you to read the final chapter, A Portrait of a Person Connected to the Field of Intention, before beginning this journey. You and everyone else, as well as all of life, emanated from the universal all-creating field of intention. Live from that perspective, and you will come to know and apply the power of intention. You have an endless stream of green lights before you!”
My ink drawing, "BOSTON", is such a direct connection to this book The Power of Intention. The most interesting part is that I made this connection 3 years prior to the books release. "BOSTON" was created in 2001. The Power of Intention was published in 2004.
Coincidence?? I think not.
