Because Of Satan Tend Our Needs
Judges 2: 3-4
“Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you. And it came to pass, when the angel of the Lord spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.”
"BOSTON" was a turning point in the ‘graphic style’ I had used from the start of this collection. Chapter 16, "Hidden Prestige", led me into redefining my freedom of expression. Chapter 17, "True Sight", was telling me to connect with that freedom. This 18th Chapter is an extremely personal representation about aspects of my life as well as involving the lives of others. Also at the time, this piece was my deepest and truest link to the Fibonacci numbering system, which I constantly refer to as Mean.
Although I had expressed myself in so many previous works it was "BOSTON" that brought out the organic nature of my own reality. Throughout my life I’ve been molding myself in different aspects of real. I realized I had always twisted my thoughts and actions to portray my image as a person of light and ‘no issues’. This facade was choking my existence and I needed a release.
My thoughts in "BOSTON" came to being while listening to a specific musical group as well as a specific song title. The group of course is Boston. The title of the album is Third Stage (3 being a direct link to Mean). The title of the track is The Launch, which is the 3rd song on the album. There are 3 aspects to this song as seen here.

This image is also created in the aspect of using animation as another form of description. ‘The Launch’ is 2:55 seconds long and someday I may have the resources to implement the animated features to finally fully complete the details of this piece.
As I said before…I needed a release. This is defined on the album cover, which has a smaller space vehicle being released.

This piece was created in 2001. My marriage to Sarah was still very new. My 8 weeks premature daughter was doing well but my wife and I had some stressful situations with her. All parents experience these ‘situations’. It’s just that Sarah and I were just now finding out how to deal with them. The vines and thorns are the key link to these emotions at this time. Sarah and I were sometimes snared and caught up so tight that we seemed to have no way out. The way out is described in the next Chapter #19…"Flowering Optimism".
There are 10 crosses within this image and 9 of them are entangled with multiple vines and some with piercing thorns. These Nine crosses are each a separate definition of a human soul. They also refer to the direct link of this album. Third Stage(3), Third song on the album(3), Three defined aspects (levels) to the song(3). 3x3 is 9.
The cross in the center of the image is within the Heavens and is not entangled. It is defined as Cross #10 and it represents the image of God. This image of God will be defined throughout the definitions of this piece. Detailed references are also listed in the Chapter #3 definition. The direct relation of this center cross to Chapter #3 is related through a Sphere at its center. This represents the Wholeness of the image and the ‘Coming Full Circle’ aspects of Christian life.
These 2 originals,"The Response" and "BOSTON" are the only chapters with a white cross containing a sphere. The lines of the 9 crosses are rough and not so precise. The lines of this 10 th cross are very straight and smooth. This explains the perfection of God and the imperfections of man. This line representation is better seen in the original drawing. There is also a sphere behind this 10th cross. The sphere image is seen here.

Notice that at 4 corners of this there are 4 markings pointing toward the center of the cross. This is also represented in the 2 stars that are flanking each side of this 10th cross image as seen here.

This type of star design relates to previous images, especially "Our Ultimate". My stars with a shine are mostly all the same. Here are some examples of normal stars.
As you can see these normal stars from 3 different originals are relatively the same. I used a unique detailed aspect for the stars here in "BOSTON" to demonstrate the angelic relationship between the center cross and the 2 stars on each side. They are also present as support for the image of God for the miracle that is being defined in "BOSTON".
I also interpreted the aspect of this Godly image in the center cross by adding some additional details, which will be explained in later paragraphs.
All the crosses in this image are numbered and in a certain order. Below are the numerical definitions of each individual cross along the border. The center cross is already identified as #10.

The numbered definitions are in counter clockwise order starting with the cross directly to the right of the title "BOSTON". I placed the order in this way as if reading a book from left to right. The same type of interpretation is used on the many flags that border Chapter 22, "Sense the Savior". The enhanced title letters for "BOSTON" are defined below.

Because Of Satan Tend Our Needs
The letter ‘B’ is drawn using vines. It also contains a representation of the number 3, which relates to Mean. You’ll notice the vine tips create a smaller ‘B’ in the center and the number 3 is noted using the larger of the vines.
The ‘S’ is in representation of Satan with the thorns for horns, the slanted eye, a curved nose and a forked tail. He looks calm and proud given the Christian souls in this image that he has entangled and are in is grasp.
Notice the ‘T’ is dripping at the tips. I chose this to represent the tears described in the scripture that defines this piece. The drips also signify the shedding of blood seen in crosses 3 and 5, which will be described in later paragraphs. This dripping is in relation to the word ‘Tend’ in the title. According to the scripture lost souls are praying desperately and they are crying, begging the Lord to save them, especially in this time of need as described in this imagery. The tail of the ‘T’ is also forked to define our soul relationship to Satan since we are all sinners.
The ‘N’ has no specific definition because at the time of creating this piece my ‘Needs’ are what I was trying to define.

Since the ‘S’ and ‘T’ are defined as souls the equation starts with their definition. I then begin at the center. (0 mean between #’s 4 and 5) which is between Satan and Tend. ‘Because Of Satan’ is on the negative side of Mean and ‘Tend Our Needs’ is on the positive side of Mean.

The ‘7’s are then combined because there are 3 in sequence.

Below is the final breakdown relating to Mean. The ‘S’ and the ‘T’ are significant due to the fact that they are the missing links to the Mean sequence as seen below.

The following paragraphs and images are descriptions of the definitions regarding the numbered sequence given to the nine crosses entangled in the vines.

I defined Cross #1 by having a vine pass through a single hole. |
Cross #2 has no significant drawn indication that it is Cross #2. The only designation it really has is that it is between the crosses defined as #1 and #3. This is because it is actually the 1 st cross that I embedded into this piece. The idea for the sequencing of the nine crosses came to mind after I had finished drawing this particular cross. It was also at this moment that I had the thoughts of relating the 9 crosses to a 10 th cross in the center of the image. I then realized that to relate the structure of the nine crosses (Souls) to the 10 th they would also need to relate to Mean.
The definitions below define these different relationships to Mean. If this first cross I had drawn did remain #1, then the relationship to Mean would not exist. Once the cross was defined as #2 then everything came together.
Below is the sequence if the original cross was defined as #1
The above definition is not related to Mean. Notice the design structure on the line schematic to the right. The gap is irrelevant to Mean when the sequence is followed beginning with the 1 st cross I drew which starts at the arrow. The mathematical sequencing definition of this non-relation to Mean is noted below.
Now let’s view the sequence if the original cross was defined as #2. We would then start the sequencing with the cross that is now defined as #1.

The above definition is totally related to Mean. Notice the design structure on the line schematic to the right. The gap is relevant to Mean when the sequence is followed if I began with a 2 nd cross added to the left of the 1 st cross that was already drawn. The mathematical definition of this relation to Mean is noted in the sequencing below.
The 10 th cross in this piece is the image of God. A Perfect 10…
The next cross in the sequence is #3. In regards to my work the number 3 is the most important within the Fibonacci sequence. Its significance is followed by the number 1 and then by the number 0. My relationship to 3 is pronounced throughout my work and in "BOSTON" it is defined as my personal soul.
There are 3 letters in my name, RON. There are 3 letters describing the version of scriptures that I study for my work, KJV.

The letters on Cross #3 are positioned at the top above the ‘head’ as it was on the cross that was used in the Crucifixion of Christ. This signifies the relationship to me personally. |

I placed a sphere behind Cross #3 to signify my connection with Cross #10. All the crosses in this image represent a link to the spiritual world. By making the sphere a planet the cross then defines my souls relationship to the secular world. |
