The guiding signs of scriptures told
Bring minds thoughts of ages old
Beginning with a blessed last supper
Gathered the family of Twelve there
Centered is the one and only Christ
Betrayers and Deniers were the closest pair
A night so spiritually fulfilled
The day that He knew would arrive
A gathering of humanities disbelief
Tormenting actions thrown in His face
Strength was hidden in every one’ s grief
Piercing sharpened thorns driven
Skull deep cutting shaped as a crown
Here they grow as the majestic trees
In that garden when Father looked down
For this original is #12
His soul saying it is done
"Our Ultimate" is the age I accepted Him
The day our lives became as one
The above poem describes the details within this drawing:
The guiding signs of scriptures told |
"Our Ultimate" has many links to the crucifixion scriptures telling the story in all Four of the Gospels. This piece also has direct relation to my life as a 12-year old boy. Details of this link are defined in a poem at the end of this chapter description.
As for the scriptures it’s a reminder of the Ultimate price paid by Christ to save the souls of believers. His blood and pain was shed for all of us. It’s a reminder that even the closest and most trusted of friends can sometimes stray from the path of goodness and embrace the concept of betrayal.
Beginning with a blessed last supper |
Using the significance of the large shining stars I defined the closest friends to Jesus at the time of his death, the Twelve Disciples. The cross in the center of course represents Christ. I placed 6 stars (disciples) on each side of the centered cross in relation to Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting “The Last Supper”. There are a total of twelve stars for this representation, but 2 of them are a little different as seen here.

There are 10 of this type of star |
There are only 2 of |
The 10 stars are large and the center sphere is clear representing purity and goodness. The other 2 stars that are flanked on either side of the cross are smaller and their shine is “weaker”. The spheres within the center of these two stars are solid black. This is to define the darkness and evil that possessed these two disciples to betray Jesus. They are Judas and Peter.
A night so spiritually fulfilled |
Probably the most prayer filled night ever given from Christ to his Father God. This original is also filled with more tiny stars than any previous Chapters to signify that the Heavens are overloaded with Angels watching…waiting.
The day that He knew would arrive |
The words here describe the events that would come to pass as he carried the cross through the crowds on his way to Golgotha. The last sentence defines the fact that although there were many believers in the ways of Christ teachings at this time they were afraid of the consequences of their faith.

This image has a couple of links to my soul. The significant checker pattern in this cross is the same as I used in Chapter #3, "The Response". Both of these chapters represent the beginning essence of my inner relationship with Christ and are described in both of these extremely personal drawings.

"Our Ultimate" |
The 2nd link to me personally is in relation to Chapter #18, . Nailed to the top of the cross that was used to crucify Jesus was a sign the read:
Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews
St. John 19:19

"BOSTON" |
The image above on the left doesn’t have the actual inscription within the sign but the definition is still represented by following the scripture of Pilate placing the sign on the cross. The image on the right is taken from "BOSTON" where I described a direct relation to how it would be if I were the one displayed on the cross.
Piercing sharpened thorns driven
|
I defined the crown of thorns and the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed to his Father using the same objects, which are trees of thorns as seen below.

The definition to the last part of the original poem for this description is detailed in the following poem. It refers to my days as a 12-year old boy while attending Christian school.
The Academy
By Ron Jones
Cornerstone Christian Academy
The actual birthplace of my Christian soul
In the heart of tiny Port Townsend, WA
Learning of this God was my ultimate goal
Enrolled without any money payment
Because of my mother who would teach there
I began a study of a book called The Bible
And found my past sins that I had to bare
A loving father left behind in California
A loving younger sister still by my side
I now felt that I had a purpose
An overwhelming sense of pride
We as all Cornerstone students
Read the glorious Bible each and every day
I had to ask so many different questions
To fully understand what Gods words actually say
My many questions were so well answered
By a woman and teacher I had come to love
Her name I only remember as Mrs. Mustard
A soul I witnessed and is now up above
One day when I was Twelve
I came to a question in my Pace
A Pace is a teaching tool used at the Academy
To pass the ending test was always a race
It asked me if I had accepted Jesus
As my Lord and personal Savior
I thought about it and couldn ’ t answer
So I asked Mrs. Mustard to do me a favor
We sat right there at my cubicle
We bowed our heads so low
I then asked the Lord into my heart
So much in me I needed Him to grow
Today Mrs. Mustard is only a memory
Her devoted soul in my heart a bond
"Our Ultimate" is the gift I give her
Because of her … of God I grew fond
It was also during the creation of this work that I accepted another significant soul into my heart. Her name was Sarah Vader and on February 20th, 2000 she loved me enough to become Sarah Jones. This was our ultimate sacrifice to one another by choosing to be One.
