Process (continued)

The above image is of the inks and water media that I use in all my originals. Higgins is my chosen brand for all of my base colors as well as some black. I also use FW. Acrylic Artists Ink as well as Winsor and Newton colored inks. I use three types of black India ink, Winsor and Newton, Colop, and mostly Universal Rapidograph Ink, which come in some sets of Rapidographs. The darker orange that I use is from the orient and I can’t understand the label titles. Then lastly are my Fluorescent inks that I used in some Black Light posters that I experimented with in the late 90’s. These fluorescents are awesome but definitely not archival.

As for my water media I use Koi Watercolors. I don’t use these often but I do mix with the inks to get certain colors. The light blue is used the most since it’s a hard color to mix using inks. I’m looking into some Dr. Ph Martin inks and liquid acrylics for future works.

So now you know a little more about how my work is born into this world. I’m open for other options for sure so if you have any information on other types of ink or pens or brushes or anything please let me know.
