“New Art International”
(see typed text below)

The surrealism of Ron Jones’ hand-drawn patterns, symbols and intensely rational/irrational constructions results from the artist’s application of a numbering system to daily experience and personal studies of alternate realities. This series, Gateways, creates its own black and white, time and detail-intensive genre.

Jones’ professional career in the fine arts began in 1998, when he completed two drawings and received his first professional opinion from an art dealer, who admired the detail of his work and encouraged him to continue. Various art visionaries and graphic masters have guided the progress of his stunning imagery.

The work is shown at local venues in downtown Vancouver, Washington, where Jones is a
co-owner of the Sixth Street Gallery. In addition to monthly Gallery shows, the owners promote other artists’ work via original creative programs of their own conception.

My thoughts are brought to reality utilizing pen and ink with the influence of the artistic genius of M.C. Escher. To focus these thoughts into actual images on paper, I define them by interpreting the details of mathematical equations.
